Back to Bacharach is a 2-hour concert celebrating the songs and life of Burt Bacharach, featuring powerhouse entertainer Casey Donovan, the legendary Doug Williams, Australia’s leading vocal coach and theatre star Darren Mapes and Top 4 Australian Idol 2004 and The Voice (2014) contestant, Hayley Jensen.

Burt Bacharach is one of the most prolific and successful songwriters of the 20th Century. As a 6 time Grammy and 3 time Academy Award winner, with 73 Top 40 hits in the US, and 52 Top 40 hits in the UK, Burt Bacharach wrote the music for over 700 published songs, which have been recorded by some 2,000 artists - from Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley to the Beatles and the Supremes.

Along with lyricist Hal David, they were at the forefront of the famous Brill Building in NYC described as "the most important generator of popular songs in the Western world".

At age 85, Burt Bacharach still tours the world to sell out audiences. He himself and his music continue to stand the test of time.

The Concert will feature some of Burt Bacharach's most well known songs by Artists such as Dionne Warwick, Aretha Franklin, Barbra Streisand, Dusty Springfield, The Carpenters, Supremes, Roberta Flack, The Shirelles, Petula Clark of the female songstresses and BJ Thomas, Tom Jones, Christopher Cross, Neil Diamond, The Drifters, Luther Vandross, Herb Alpert, Gene Pitney, Isaac Hayes, Johnny Mathis and Elvis Presley of the male artists.

In this 2 hour show, it's a non-stop hit factory with 26 songs we're all so familiar with such as "I'll Never Fall In Love Again", "That's What Friends Are For", "I Say A Little Prayer", "This Guys In Love With You", "Arthurs Theme", "Heartlight", "There's Always Something There To Remind Me", "What The World Needs Now", "Close To You", "Walk On By" and so many more.

CASEY DONOVAN

Casey is one of Australia's most versatile Indigenous Entertainers. She rose to fame as the youngest ever winner of Australian Idol at age 16. A multi-award winner and nominee, including an ARIA #1 Award for 'Listen With Your Heart' and 'Deadly Awards' for Best Album, Best single and Most Promising New Talent. She has appeared on stage in productions of 'Flower Children', 'The Sapphires' and Shakespeare's 'As You Like It' amongst others. Casey is an ambassador for the Plus Size Movement in Australia, which has seen her appear at this year's Curvy Couture Melbourne as part of Fashion Week.

DOUG WILLIAMS

R'n'B soul artist Doug Williams' infectious personality and musical talent are formidable fixtures on the Australian music scene. His musical journey spans two continents and an impressive roster of collaborations. Before emigrating from America, he toured with such greats as Stevie Wonder, Tina Turner and James Brown. Most recently, Doug supported Taylor Dayne and Hot Chocolate on their national tours with his five-piece band 'Doug Williams & The Mix'. Fondly known as 'Pappa D', he has also worked with and mentored previous The Voice artists Diana Rouvas and Prinnie Stevens.

DARREN MAPES

An experience singer, actor and musician he has over 20 years experience and is the Head of Singing at the renowned Brent Street Studios. Most recently Darren appeared in the Neil Gooding/Matt Henderson production of 'Thank You For Being a Friend' to overwhelming critical review and acclaim.. He is co-writer and musical director of Deb Krizak's show 'Cabaret' - a documentary about ABBA. He is also co-writer and star of one of Australia's most loved cabaret and corporate acts 'The Carpenters from Kempsey'.

HAYLEY JENSEN

Hayley Jensen is an artist with pure talent and determination. In 2004 she placed 4th in the Australian Idol and most recently made an electrifying return to the small screen on The Voice (2014). She has performed overseas with the Australian Defence Force, for the Australian Prime Minster and Indonesian President amongst numerous major corporate engagements. Her debut EP "Alive" hit #2 on the Australian Independent Records chart and #20 on the Australian ARIA chart. Hayley has had trackes featured in promo's for "Law and Order" and the AFL and recently won an Australian Independent Music Award for single "Lights" with band Silver Cities.
