The Australian Steelband Festival, Marysville 2013 is the first of its kind in Australia. Steelbands from all over the country and beyond join to celebrate the versatility of the steel pan and its power to bring joy and delight to diverse communities across Australia and New Zealand.

For pure pan lovers there are individual steelband performances, the Steelband Panorama play-off and the Communities Super Steelband of 150 pan players performing a shared Calypso.

On Saturday night, Caribbean culture comes alive with  Calypso showband the 'Trinidadian Connection' featuring CaribVic's Carnival Masqueraders along with Nicky Bomba's tropical 6-piece Bustamento and 'Wind on Steel'. You can also sample Caribbean style cuisine and hospitality while enjoying the show.

With a unique focus on the steel pan, steelbands and Caribbean culture, plus the natural beauty and warm community of Marysville, this festival will certainly be a stand-out event in 2013.
