Emerging indie rock outfit Atticus Street are making their headline debut at the Toff in Town on July 6th. Incorporating influences such as U2, Coldplay, The Strokes, Radiohead, The Killers and The 1975, the band began in 2016, when bassist Ross Davidson and singer Seb Szabo met at university and quickly discovered a unique songwriting chemistry. Recruiting Szabo's childhood friend Lucas Snapp on drums, common raw ambition for big-sounding alternative rock fuelled practices over the summer, writing and crafting an engaging live show.

With Szabo's smooth vocals, ambient guitar/piano and a powerful rhythm section anchored by Davidson and Snapp, the resulting sound is anthemic. In their short time together the group has been noted for its energetic and passionate live performances and emotionally affecting original songs, which explore youthful themes of life, loss and love. The band have eyes to record later in 2017.

Supported on the night by the smooth folk stylings of Mel Taylor and sharp rockers Elk + Mammoth, Atticus Street promise to bring a joyful evening of music to the Toff in Town.
