There's a different kind of buzz coming from Island Records Australia - and this is your chance to see it close up, drink in hand. See synth-pop maestro Andy Bull, the vegan-pop-meets-Hip-Hop collision of Chance Waters plus the pulsing undercurrents of The Cairos' garage rock. There might even be some surprise guests swinging by too.

Island Records hail from the Universal Music family and is home to artists such as Boy & Bear, Clare Bowditch and Hilltop Hoods (through Golden Era).

Andy Bull: Over recent years, his unique approach to alternative pop has earned him a special reputation. Little more than a one-man production, Andy has written and produced two of the year's most interesting pop anthems - 'Keep On Running' and 'Baby I Am Nobody Now' - and following sold out shows up and down the East Coast is gearing up to release his new album in 2014.

Chance Waters: Chance Waters is not a typical hip hop artist and his music is not typical hip hop fare. The outspoken vegan and self-confessed internet addict has established a uniquely recognisable brand of hip hop backed by intelligent lyricism and delicately layered production. His music fuses elements from a wide array of genres with pop hooks, harmonies, swathes of live instrumentation and world class production from Adelaide producer One Above (Hilltop Hoods).

The Cairos: After 12 months of songwriting, previous Triple J Unearthed winners are back with a dark, noisy, psychedelic sound. The Brisbanite four-piece's upcoming album was produced and mixed by Nick DiDia, who has worked with such greats as Powderfinger, Rage Against The Machine and Karnivool.

In 2012 ARIA celebrated its very first ARIA Week - a week-long program of gigs, showcases, conferences and events taking place in and around Sydney in celebration of Australian music in the lead-up to the Annual ARIA Awards. It was deemed such a success, by industry and fans alike, that ARIA Week is back bigger and better in 2013.

Presented in partnership with Destination NSW, ARIA Week will see Sydney abuzz with the very best new artists and ground-breaking music industry conferences, showcasing the wealth of talent and opportunity the Australian music scene has to offer.

From the discovery of new and unearthed talent to exploring the world of Electronic Music, Hip Hop and Dance, to the recognition of Australia's best bands and artists, ARIA Week will celebrate all that encapsulates Australian Music.
