GINGER & THE GHOST Ginger & The Ghost are two visual artists from Australia who have transformed their imagination into song. Hiding away in a converted water tank/studio in the New South Wales hinterland, the duo found the freedom to create.

Driven by the idea of writing and recording in a spontaneous way, they utilized whatever tools at hand to deliver their sounds. From bicycle wheels to body percussion, their music is driven by instinct, intuition, and an innate sense of trust in each other.
Combining ethereal vocals that evoke a child-like abandon and the optimism of youth, with dynamic instrumental layering, Ginger & The Ghost have crafted an epic yet grounded sound.

Victory and defeat, the darkness and the light. This is Ginger & the Ghost.

AMY VEE

"Fits And Starts", the long-awaited debut solo album by East Coast ethereal folk songstress Amy Vee, will be presented live in Sydney on Thursday 4 July, complete with full band and special guests at The Standard, Surry Hills. Respected independent singer-songwriter Amy Vee spent several months writing and recording the 10-track treasure, followed by a successful $10k crowd-funding campaign to bring the album into production.

Released nationally on 19 April 2013, the album is already gaining momentum, including ABC Newcastle's Album of the Week and resulting in national airplay.

For an artist commonly described as "indie/folk/pop", the album draws on much more than a movement or passing trend. Instead, the creative process has combined Amy's poetical style of lyric with surrounding influences such as life, love and the human condition, as well as her vast touring experiences (keyboardist/guitarist Tim Freedman & The Idle, singer/multi-instrumentalist in Jon English's The Rock Show, as well as solo opening spots for Newton Faulkner, Luka Bloom, Jeff Martin, Mark Seymour, Passenger and more).

Produced by Gareth Hudson of Hazy Cosmic Jive Studio (Hilltop Hoods, Buddy Knox), Amy will present "Fits and Starts" with the help of Ben and The Sea frontman and songwriter Ben Webb on guitar/keys/melodica, Sydney drummer Dean Tyler (Rubix Cuba, Fictions) cellist Hallum Fulcher (Post Paint), violinist Natalya Bing (Australian Violin Ensemble, Tangled Up in Bob), and bass player Klaye Sanders.
