Jungle City projects and I Love Dancehall are proud to announce the... The Australian National Dancehall King and Queen Competition 2015 - in alliance with the International Dancehall Queen Competition, and as part of the 2015 True Jamaican Dancehall Tour.

The Australian Dancehall King and Queen Competition will be held in Melbourne on Friday 20th of February, at the Royal Melbourne Hotel 629 Bourke St, Melbourne CBD. Competitors are invited from all over Australia to compete for THOUSANDS! In cash and prizes, but most importantly for the official title of '2015 DHQ and DHK AUSTRALIA'.

The winner of the Dancehall Queen comp will also be invited to Jamaica to take part in the 19th annual International Dancehall Queen competition to dance alongside Dancehall Queenz from around the world. Your prize money will contribute to this trip and you will receive support from our team in ensuring you make it to Jamaica in 2015! For all dancers wanting to enter registrations are NOW OPEN! and close Monday 16th February 2015.

The registration process requires ALL COMPETITORS to submit a 20 - 30 sec video of themselves dancing in order to qualify to compete in the national competition in Melbourne, which will be judged by Jamaican dance heavyweights Latonya Style - Founder and CEO of DanceJA, and rising star Craig Blackeagle - of Black Eagles dance crew - both flying direct from Kingston, Jamaica as part of the True Jamaican Dancehall Tour. Plus selectors So Fire, Sista Itations, Yuki Shinobu, and Host Di Apprentice holding down the party until early morning!
