How do I buy a credit card/PayPal ticket for someone else?
The easiest way to do this is to book the ticket under the attendees name. To do this simply enter the attendees name into each field in the booking process. Do not enter the credit card holder name.
By doing this when the attendee arrives at the event they can simply show their photo ID to have the tickets marked off instead of the credit card.
How do I pass a credit card/PayPal bought ticket to a friend?
There are 2 solutions, the first, and easiest, is that you let the new attendee bring the credit card used for purchase, to the event with them to have it swiped. i.e. Ask your parent/friend if you can borrow the card for the event.
The other option is to complete a moshtix Credit Card Authorisation Form (click here to download) which will enable the card holder, to nominate someone to gain entry to the event without having the credit card present. You will need Adobe Acrobat to view the download.
What is a moshcard?
A moshcard is given to you for select events when you purchase through a moshtix retail outlet. A moshcard lets you into the event just like a regular ticket. Better than a regular ticket though it can hold tickets to multiple events, and even better than that if you register it to your name you can NEVER lose your tickets.
Why should I register my moshcard?
An unregistered Moshcard is like a paper ticket, if you lose it or forget to bring it to the event, there isn't anything we can do to find your ticket. On the other hand, losing a registered moshcard means all you need at the event is some photo ID to get you in.
How do I pick up my ticket if I used PayPal?
Simply print your email confirmation to take with you to present with your photo ID to have your name marked off.
You do not need your credit card or moshcard to pick up a ticket purchased using PayPal.
How do I pass a moshcard to a friend?
If the card is already registered to a name, you can not change the name on the ticket. If you want someone else to use that ticket you will need to physically give them the moshcard to take with them to the event.
You can unregister the moshcard through your moshfile. Please see the moshfile FAQ sections for info on how to log in. Once logged in to your account click ‘add/edit’ next to ‘Registered moshcards’.
You will then need to select the moshcard and click the ‘remove’ button.
By doing this the new owner can register it to their name so the next time they use it to buy tickets, the tickets will be registered to the new name on the card.
