WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 1D AND 2D BARCODE TICKETS?
1D Barcode tickets

moshtix use 1D barcodes for select events. The barcode looks like a regular barcode you are more used to seeing in the shopping centres! You will need to use Adobe Reader to open your 1D PDF ticket.

1D Barcode Ticket

1D barcode tickets are not registered to the name of the person attending. This means anyone can use the ticket. It does not matter whose name is on the ticket – anyone can use it on the day!

As 1D barcode tickets are not registered to the attendee you must actually print your ticket and take it with you on the day. Moshtix staff can not look the ticket up from your name at the event like our other tickets.

Your ticket must be treated like CASH! You must advise moshtix if your ticket is lost or stolen to organise for a replacement to be issued. Just call us at least 48 hours before your event to allow plenty of time for the email to arrive.

2D Barcode tickets
moshtix use 2D barcode's for the majority of our events. The barcode is a combination of stripes and squares. It does look jumbled, but it’s meant to look that way! You will need to use Adobe Reader to open your 2D PDF ticket.

2D barcode tickets are registered to the name of the person attending. This means only the person whose name is on the ticket is guaranteed entry to the event on the day. If you need to change the name on the ticket you will need to re-issue the ticket. Please see the re-issue FAQ section for further details.

As 2D barcode tickets are registered to the attendee if you can not print your ticket to take with you on the day moshtix staff can look the ticket up from your name at the event. Please ensure you have valid photo ID to prove who you are!

If you didn’t receive your email or have deleted it you can print your tickets or resend your email from your moshfile. Please see the moshfile FAQ section for details on how to log in. If you would like us to re send it to you please call us at least 48 hours before your event to allow plenty of time for the email to arrive.
