Kaki King

Kaki King

Secure booking.
Kakis first tour to Australia in January 2007 resulted in six front covers and five sell-out shows, the result of people eager to see what the strong buzz was about. It was a phenomenal reaction to an artist almost no-one here had heard of before, and the beginning of an ongoing love affair between Kaki & her Australian audiences.

She was immediately snapped up to return; appearing at The Great Escape and both the East & West Coast Blues n Roots Festivals of the same year, and was invited to return once more to appear at the inaugural Adelaide International Guitar Festival.

In April 2008, this time invited by Dave Grohl, she toured Australia again, this time as the Foo Fighters opener. Kaki took the opportunity to launch her latest release, Dreaming Of Revenge, squeezing in a couple of her own shows into her increasingly tight calendar. She returned early in 2009 for an appearance at WOMADelaide.

Media support and word of mouth has been fantastic on each of her visits, and critical acclaim has built nationally, both for her albums and her startling live shows. If you still havent caught the Kaki King juggernaut, nows your chance; shes returning once more for Summer 2010, invited to appear at the Falls, Woodford, Sunset Sounds and Southbound Festivals.  Kaki will be performing her own shows in Melbourne, Sydney, Byron Bay and Adelaide and is bringing her US trio of Dan Brantigan & Jordan Perlman.
