Yves Klein Blue are getting wise and finding their feet with the new single Getting Wise which fulfils the promise hinted at on 2008s EP Draw Attention To Themselves that saw the addictive single Polka waltz it way across the world. On Getting Wise Michael Tomlinsons lyrical witticism with classic intonation voices a generations indecision, set to a danceable indie beat. Ragged & Ecstatic was recorded in LA with producer Kevin Augunas (Cold War Kids) at the helm. The finishing touches were laid on the album in Sydney with Scott Horscroft (The Presets) adding his expertise to the mix. With a palpable buzz brewing internationally, Yves Klein Blue will be turning their attention overseas in April and May before returning to Australia. Polka has already turned heads in the States, with more than 60 college radio stations picking up on the track. Yves Klein Blue will play shows in Los Angeles and New York before heading over to the invite only music festival The Great Escape in the UK to show their wares. Thanks to a few choice hook ups through Trade QLD, Yves Klein Blue has inked a deal with hot UK independent record label, Guerrilla Music Records. They will be releasing their debut EP, Draw Attention to Themselves just in time for their Great Escape Festival performance. When the band return from their whirlwind overseas jaunt in late May, they will be playing two very special shows with an exclusive sneak peak at new album material. Limited tickets are available so get in quick.Getting Wise is taken from the forthcoming album Ragged & Ecstatic due out in June 2009.Download POLKA free at http://universalmusic.net.au/freedownloads/polka
