The Beat Brothers, Cheerleader, The Crooks, Jay Howie
After launching their debut EP to a packed house at Yah Yahs The Beat Brothers are about to embark on a four week residency at the fabulous Evelyn Hotel every Tuesday in July. Their sound has been described as a beautiful mixture of vintage music. Not only do their songs sound as if they were made fifty years ago, they also sound as if they were made today. Obviously comparisons to The Rolling Stones can be made in abundance, but The Beat Brothers truly have a vibe and feel that is distinctly their own. You can hear a little Dylan in the lyrics and a little Howlin Wolf in Alexs growl, yet their songs are original, infectious and very well written. With performances each week from different and exciting bands, this should be a great month at The Evelyn. Be there, or be just another regular dildo spending Tuesday night at home...
