The Grates announce their long-awaited return to the stage with their "Team Work Makes The Dream Work" Australian east coast tour. With a career that has spanned more than a decade and four celebrated studio albums, it is undeniable that The Grates outstanding reputation for their explosive and energetic live shows has left everlasting memories of fans and festival-goers alike. The tour commences in their hometown of Brisbane, then on to Sydney and Melbourne shortly after their scheduled return to kick some ass at Splendour In The Grass 2015.

In November last year The Grates released their 4th album "Dream Team", which was recorded in just ten days and released a month after the announcement that they would be returning to the studio with producer, good friend and team mate Owen Penglis of Straight Arrows who will be joining the band on the road. The Grates have only played a handful of dates since the 2011 'Summer's Breath' tour which celebrated the release of their third studio album 'Secret Rituals'.

Joining them on their "Team Work Makes The Dream Work" tour will be friends and special guests Sydney's Straight Arrows with their reverb-laden, fuzzed out, punk garage as well as Brisbane post punk/synth duo Pleasure Symbols.

"It's been ages since we've hit the road & preformed live, and we're stoked to be returning with rad legends Straight Arrows, and cold wave creepers Pleasure Symbols. Touring with people that you not only love watching on stage, but love hanging out with off stage, is as good as it gets. If you're lucky, everyone gets chummy, you become like a little army, or a little family. Owen from Straight Arrows will be joining us on bass & the rest of SA & PS will be joining us side of stage as baby sitters, even though they don't now it yet!" - Patience Hodgson

"fun and thrashy pop punk at its best." - Triple J

"That's what we love The Grates for: bratty, flirty pop-punk, ego-free and easy.... It'll be a beast live at least, as new drummer Ritchie Daniel has guns" - Mikey Cahill, The Courier Mail

"As frontwomen or, indeed, frontmen go, she is among the best I've seen: infinitely charismatic, insanely energetic and generally hard to take your eyes off. More importantly she barely misses a note despite the fact she shouldn't be able to breathe." - George Palathingal, Sydney Morning Herald

The Grates "Team Work Makes The Dream Work" 2015 Australian tour begins August 8th, with special guests Straight Arrows and Pleasure Symbols, dates are below, tickets go on sale 9am Friday May 8th.
