One of Australia's most revered live acts, The Drones return to the stage for a national run of regional and metro shows to celebrate the release of their seventh studio LP, Feelin' Kind Of Free.
Feelin Kinda Free is a bad trip you can dance to. It's a punch in the brain summed up by the first line of the album's opener Private Execution: "The best songs are like bad dreams".
It is not like other music. The Drones are not like other bands.
"Farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrken hell" Beat Magazine
"Fiona Kitschin , her feet bare and back largely to the audience, proved a controlled foil to the snarling and guttural Liddiard, with her focused and at-times ominous bass line and lush backing vocals. Flanking Liddiard was the equally cool but no less outstanding trio of guitarist Dan Luscombe, keyboardist Steve Hesketh and drummer Christian Strybosch , the latter clearly very happily returning to the fold."
