Watch international football at Valentine Sports Park as the two teams prepare for the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand.

Colombia U20's game plan is based on bossing possession and smart movement. This combination prevents the defence from being overworked and allows the side to conserve energy by not having to chase games, while also making it possible to get plenty of players into attacking positions. This was evident in Uruguay, where they peaked at the business end of the competition, had one of the best defensive records (conceding just five times in nine matches) and boasted six different scorers on the way to racking up 12 goals. The squad oozes quality. Goalkeeper Alvaro Montero and central defender Juan Quintero are both rocks at the back. Key figures further up the pitch include attacking midfielders Brayan Rovira and Jarlan Barrera and forwards Rafael Borre and Jeison Lucumi. The latter was the team's top scorer in qualifying with four goals.

Fiji U20s entered the May 2014 qualifiers for the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup in the knowledge they had an unusually elevated opportunity to win through to the global showpiece. The stereotype traditionally associated with Fiji is one of power mixed with typical Pacific flair and spirit. The current crop are, for numerous reasons, evidence that times are changing. The Fiji squad have enjoyed considerable preparation time and international exposure over recent years, perhaps more so than other Fijian teams historically. Ten players in the qualifiers were graduates of either the 2013 U-20 or U-17 teams, while the side spent a lengthy period together at the National Football Academy in Ba. The team are thus tactically aware and methodical in their approach. The squad primarily consists of players based in the Fijian national league, while a handful ply their trade in New Zealand.
