Event Details

THE world’s greatest drumming legend Steve Gadd, known for his collaboration with Paul Simon, Steely Dan, Eric Clapton, Chick Corea and James Taylor, among others, is soon to embark on an 8-show Australian tour in February 2018, featuring; Saxophonist, Michael Blicher and Hammond Organ wizard, Dan Hemmer.

"The premier drummer of his generation - he's that extraordinary" - Paul Simon

"Steve has become the master of creative grooves" - Chick Corea

Australian fans will experience this extraordinary band perform music from their brilliant new album 'OMARA', including classic tracks from their debut album 'BLICHER HEMMER GADD' and much more!

BLICHER HEMMER GADD (BHG) formed in 2014 and toured all over Europe and Scandinavia. BHG's second album 'OMARA' was recorded live in Germany, England and Denmark during their 2016 tour and this album is a collection of the finest and most hard-swingin moments.

Steve Gadd on the BLICHER HEMMER GADD project:

"It was our debut tour and I had a ball playing with these guys, it was a lot of fun and I think that this could become a really unique trio. The crowds were so receptive and they really loved Michael's music and us as a band. They made us all feel very appreciated - that was really something! The music that Michael wrote for this band is just very unique and it fits perfectly to his and Dan's way of playing. I grew up listening to organ bands - I love that kind of music. I know Michael has been listening to a lot of great New Orleans drummers, and I think he has come up with his own unique thing and the crowds loved it. "

The BLICHER HEMMER GADD 'OMARA' Australian Tour will be a once in a lifetime experience for all music lovers.
