'Hiding To Nothing' is the new single from Adelaide band BAD//DREEMS' highly anticipated debut LP Dogs at Bay, due out the 21st August. Recorded with iconic producer Mark Opitz (AC/DC, The Angels, INXS, Cold Chisel) and Colin Wynne it follows previous breakthrough singles 'Dumb Ideas' and 'Cuffed and Collared', which have seen the band grow from its humble beginnings in a whitegoods warehouse to one of the most exciting guitar acts in the country and promising even greater things to come.

BAD//DREEMS are also thrilled to announce they will be hitting the road this coming September and October. Fresh off the back of a 12 date tour of the UK, and a sold out east coast tour of Australia, BAD//DREEMS will be taking their brand of underground guitar rock around the country, including their first headline appearance in Perth. Joining Bad//Dreems for the tour will be Sydney newcomers Green Buzzard. Having just signed to the formidable I OH YOU roster, Green Buzzard is a name you will be hearing a lot of in the very near future.

Lead vocalist and guitarist Ben Marwe sings a line in 'Hiding To Nothing' about life in Adelaide, but the sentiment could apply to anyone who yearns to break free from the manacles of their humdrum hometown. A good deal of BAD//DREEMS' debut LP Dogs At Bay is about the band's relationship with Adelaide. As guitarist Alex Cameron states...

"At its best it is an idyllic town, with a temperate climate and beautiful surrounds. At its worst it is stiflingly conservative, inward looking and somewhat bereft of culture. The record is about growing up and living in Adelaide, as well as leaving and returning there. There's nothing parochial about this though. It's just what we know. I think the experiences are probably common to everyone who has a hometown".

Opitz brings polish to the Adelaide boys' ragged sound but managed to capture the danger and intensity of their renowned live show. "The recording process that comes with the Opitz/Wynne combination is unlike any other I have experienced across 11 years of doing music," explains bass player James Bartold. "So much to learn, so many different things to argue about, but at the same time we know that they always had our best interests at heart. It was all about feel - whether it was feeling comfortable in the song ourselves or creating a feel that would eventually be comfortable for whoever may listen to it".

Their authentic marriage of unpretentious songcraft, melody and raw energy has seen them share stages with acts as diverse as The Scientists, Sunnyboys, Cosmic Psychos, The Preatures and Wavves. They will soon perform at Splendour In The Grass, and have graced stages at St Jerome's Laneway Festival and Groovin The Moo and were hand picked to support Grammy award winners The Black Keys on their Australian tour, before its cancellation due to drummer Patrick Carney's shoulder injury.
